TheClubhouse
The clubhouse has stood above the eighteenth green since 1908. It is where rounds are settled, lunches run long and evenings end by the fire.
Built in the Arts and Crafts manner from local brick and clay tile, it has been extended twice and modernised quietly, so that it still feels like a house rather than a hotel. Members and their guests are welcome from breakfast until the last drink.
The Long Room
The Long Room looks down the eighteenth fairway through a run of tall windows. The kitchen cooks from Surrey and Sussex farms and the club's own walled garden, with a menu that changes with whatever is best that week. Lunch is unhurried. Dinner is by candlelight from Thursday to Saturday.
The Bar and Snug
The bar opens onto the veranda for long summer evenings. Behind it, the Snug keeps a fire lit from October to April, a cellar of English sparkling wine and older clarets, and the club's collection of single malts.
The Terrace
Breakfast before an early tee time, a drink as the last groups come up the eighteenth. The terrace catches the sun from late morning until it drops behind the pines.
Private dining
The Committee Room seats eighteen around a single oak table, for birthdays, board dinners and the celebrations members would rather keep to themselves. Our events team will plan the evening with you, from the menu to the wine.
